Elizabeth Blackledge - Paralegal

Elizabeth (“Beth”) Blackledge joined Estes & Kennedy Law Offices, P.L.L.C. in January of 2012. She holds the dual role of being an office manager and paralegal. In her capacity as paralegal, Beth assists the attorneys in client matters involving real estate, business transactions, estate planning and probate. This includes assisting in the preparation of estate planning and probate documents, deeds, corporations and limited liability company formation and trial preparation. As office manager, she oversees the firm’s daily operations and bookkeeping.

Beth graduated from the Mississippi University of Women in 1992, with a bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, and she has over 20 years of combined experience as a paralegal in many areas of the law, including litigation, estate planning, probate, real estate and personal injury.

Beth’s experience is a valuable asset to our team, and her friendliness, professionalism and dedication to quality work ensures that our clients have a positive experience working with our firm.

Susan Brown- Real Estate Legal Assistant

East Tennessee native, Susan Brown, joined Estes & Kennedy Law Offices, P.L.L.C. in July 2015, bringing with her more than eight years of experience in the title industry. Susan assists our Closing Agent, Debbie, with all aspect of Real Estate Transactions, such as preparing title searches for properties, preparation of deeds, and title insurance. Additionally, she has a natural inclination for working with complex title issues, which makes her invaluable to our team when it comes to correcting these issues for our clients. Her knowledge of the closing process from the title search to the closing table adds valuable experience to our team, and her friendliness ensures a smooth process for our clients with each transaction.

Estes & Kennedy Law Offices, P.L.L.C., is proud of its experienced team members, many of whom hold specialized degrees in the legal field. Most importantly, each one shares a genuine interest in the needs of each individual client.

By improving communications and taking advantage of technology, our paralegal improves the efficiency of our office operations, which results in lowering costs to our clients. They can be a conduit of communication if a lawyer is in court or otherwise engaged. Our paralegal also assists in the drafting of some documents for our lawyers’ review, managing large, complex files for our busy firm and providing technological support for the office.

While paralegals cannot give legal advice, they are of tremendous assistance in keeping client communications at a high level while assisting in the delivery of quality legal services in a cost-efficient manner.
